I agree--not worth the time or the money to skate on this surface--but, at least you have ice. My rink traditionally closes for annual maintenance during the months of May and June. This year they're still not open due to a major equipment failure a few days before the anticipated July 8th reopening. We'll be lucky to skate on home ice by the 1st of August. 'Tis the summer of my discontent.

ReplyDeleteI wish I knew. I saw the manager but didn't think to ask him. Why would any hockey coach let kids in shoes get on the ice? It's a mystery.
