Where Does Adult Group Freestyle Skate on the Ice

We've had an explosion of adult beginner skaters at the rink. I blame Yuri on Ice (we've actually had a skater show up in full cosplay costume). This is summer, and the tradition is that most people start skating in the winter, and summer group classes are small.

Not here!

I came back after two weeks away and was told by Gold Skater how full the group classes were, and how the ice was full too.  Here's the layout for the beginner adults and the freestyle kids:

 Guess where adult freestyle goes.

Just guess.

C'mon. Give it a try.

Ready?

 Are you thinking this?

I know, right?

  1. Hey! At least you have some semblance of organization. This spring, all of our classes are just kind of ... anywhere they end up. It worked okay the first couple of weeks, but I noticed this past week that it was much busier than usual. Good luck out there!! Stay safe!

  2. What on earth can you work on in such little space?

  3. Maybe it's time to give adult group a little rest and pump the saved $$$ into private lessons.

    1. I pay a flat club fee which includes all group lessons and publics. I can't get more privates because the rink doesn't have evening publics.

  4. My rink is the opposite; everything is a la carte. Summer is always the tough season because of all the kiddie camps, etc.

  5. Sounds like you need an adults-only learn to skate session!
