With 25K, I would be better off with one, even if the Prius cost 3k more than my Corolla.Babbette Duboisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05721808053479678691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679510245284968389.post-68902232999039757752013-08-03T01:57:06.134-04:002013-08-03T01:57:06.134-04:00I hear ya sista! Fortunately, the rink is on the way to work so I don't use any extra gas going to freestyle on the weekdays. And even on weekend public, it's only about a 20- to 30-minute drive one way. But then there's the skates and blades, sharpening, and skating clothes. It certainly does add up...but too late to turn back now, I'm addicted!Noorah101https://www.blogger.com/profile/04452762028850378347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679510245284968389.post-53767773937467729292013-08-03T00:36:59.334-04:002013-08-03T00:36:59.334-04:00Hmm. Off-ice conditioning five times a week $70 and Acupuncture $75 once a week to be physically able to skate in the first place. Sharpening every 32-40hrs $25. Orthotics to accommodate a heel spur. Holy crap, it just better that I stop now before I start adding it all up...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5679510245284968389.post-16115583742262929762013-08-02T21:36:26.536-04:002013-08-02T21:36:26.536-04:00Yep, this ain't a cheap hobby. Ice time for me...Yep, this ain't a cheap hobby. Ice time for me is $10 for freestyle, $7 for public. It's about a 45 mile round trip to the rink. 3-4x a week. Private lessons are $33 for a half hour. I do not, however, pay for a USFSA membership.

My budget for skating is in the hundreds, per month. Yep, ain't cheap.Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09305706048178256604noreply@blogger.com
